The alien
One mouth. One looper. No rehearsal.
Beat Cleaver is an improvising beatboxer, live looper, freestyler and DJ broadcasting from Bristol. Every set is 1000% improvised: kicks, snares and basslines built from his voice, stacked one bar at a time into tracks that didn't exist a minute earlier.
Between the music he streams honestly about mental health and neurodiversity, about brains that work differently and how to look after them.
What’s on the frequency
Everything is improvised. Nothing is pre-recorded. Every set is the only time it will ever sound like that.
-
Beatboxing
Every kick, snare and bassline comes out of one mouth. No samples, no backing track.
-
Live looping
Layers stacked one bar at a time until a full track exists that didn't a minute ago.
-
Freestyle
Bars made up on the spot about whatever the room, the chat or the moment throws at him.
-
DJ sets
Records, loops and voice blended live, with the mic never far away.
-
Mental health & neurodiversity
Honest streams about brains that work differently, and how to look after them.
